tartella is committed to the environment, and incorporates recycled + biodegradable materials into everything we create. all paper used is either cotton (no trees!) or recycled, and our packaging is certified biodegradeable + compostable. please note, however, that this means that it cannot be used for archival purposes.

how we do itour products are printed using three different methods:

letterpress: a method of printing in which ink is transferred to paper via pressing the plate into the paper. each piece is printed by hand + creates a beautiful textured imprint.

offset: a method of printing in which ink is transferred from a plate to paper. this is a flat printing process which not create texture.

silkscreen: a method of creating an image on fabric or paper in which ink is pressed through a screen with areas blocked off by a stencil.

 

tartella began in the spring of '07 out of a passion for paper + food (not necessarily in that order)! the prevalence of gifting food and wine, often made in our own kitchens, created a need for products to ‘wrap' up those delectable goodies. here at tartella, we are committed to making the delivery as creative + delicious as what's inside!
