tartella is committed to the environment, and incorporates recycled + biodegradable materials into everything we create. all paper used is either cotton (no trees!) or recycled, and our packaging is certified biodegradeable + compostable. please note, however, that this means that it cannot be used for archival purposes.

our products are printed using three different methods:

letterpress: a method of printing in which ink is transferred to paper via pressing the plate into the paper. each piece is printed by hand + creates a beautiful textured imprint.

offset: a method of printing in which ink is transferred from a plate to paper. this is a flat printing process which not create texture.

silkscreen: a method of creating an image on fabric or paper in which ink is pressed through a screen with areas blocked off by a stencil.
